Penn Forest Township, PA – Four Injured After Kia Fails to Yield at Old Stage Road Stop Sign

Penn Forest Township, PA (July 13, 2026) – Four people were injured after a 2019 Kia Sedona failed to yield at a posted stop sign and collided with a 2019 Ram truck at South Old Stage Road and Penn Forest Trail in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police said the crash happened at about 2:29 p.m. on July 13. Troopers from the PA State Police-Fern Ridge barracks said the Kia entered the intersection without yielding, struck the Ram, and then hit a utility pole.

All four people involved, the Kia’s driver and passenger and the Ram’s driver and passenger, were transported to St. Luke’s Carbon by the Lehighton Ambulance Association. Police said the Kia’s passenger sustained a suspected serious injury. The Penn Forest Township Fire Department and local EMS units assisted at the scene.

The Kia’s driver was cited under Title 75, Section 3323(b), Duties at Stop Sign, according to police.
