Schuylkill County, PA – Two People Injured in Crash at Rt 209

Tuscarora, PA (Aug. 28, 2026) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon when an SUV and a Volkswagen sedan collided at the intersection of Route 209 and Catawissa Road in the Village of Tuscarora, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. and caused significant damage to both vehicles. State police said one vehicle had stopped at the intersection before entering Route 209 and was struck by a vehicle traveling south.

One driver suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to Cedar Crest Hospital. The second driver was taken by EMS to a medical facility in Orwigsburg for treatment.

Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
