District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis said prosecutors have the “utmost respect” for the Judge but are disappointed with the decision.“Obviously we are disappointed that the case cannot proceed to the jury, but the judge decided the evidence as it came out on the witness stand was not sufficient for the case to go to a jury,” Salavantis said. “His decision in this matter is final and cannot be appealed so, while we will be evaluating what went wrong and what can be improved upon, we have no further litigation decisions to consider.”
